The core structure of our programs is a focused five-week format. This allows enough time for lasting results without unnecessary delays. Training sessions are conducted in your home or in familiar outdoor areas, giving your dog the comfort and context needed to learn effectively.
Intro to Obedience
Perfect for puppies, newly adopted dogs, or dogs with little to no prior training. This program introduces essential commands while establishing leadership and household structure.
Training Focus Includes:
- Sit, down, and stay
- Name recognition
- Loose-leash walking basics
- Intro to boundaries
- Beginning socialization and focus exercises
This foundational training sets the stage for long-term success and is often the first step before progressing into more advanced programs.
Basic Obedience on Leash
This program is ideal for dogs that already know a few commands but lack consistency or self-control on leash. It improves obedience, attention, and behavior in public settings.
Training Focus Includes:
- Loose-leash walking with distractions
- Sit-stay and down-stay in public
- Polite greeting behavior

Board and Train
Although not our preferred method, we do offer a limited Board and Train program for clients who need this option. Please note: we strongly encourage owner participation for optimal results. This program involves temporarily boarding your dog with Dave for concentrated training sessions over a set period of time.
While Board and Train can produce fast results, it lacks the critical owner involvement that reinforces long-term success. Therefore, it is reserved for specific situations and is only recommended after evaluating the dog and discussing the owner’s goals.
This service is offered on a selective basis and is typically best suited for clients who have already begun the training process or who require behavior modification under professional supervision.
